I recently participated in the first public mayoral debate of the 2026 election cycle, hosted as part of the Forum Speaker Series by the Salem Area Chamber of Commerce. It was encouraging to see more than 350 community members come together to listen, ask questions, and engage in an important conversation about the future of Salem.

During the debate, we discussed key issues facing our city, including tax policy, homelessness, public safety, and ways to support local businesses and strengthen our local economy. These are conversations that matter, and opportunities like this help ensure voters have the information they need to stay informed and involved.
